Garage in Munich

For a private garage in Munich, Christoph has created a design that extends across walls, floor and ceiling. Composed of colourful fields suggesting cars and streets, the mural dissolves the boundaries of the utilitarian room and introduces a new sense of spatial depth and movement. Subtle optical shifts alter the viewer’s perception, at times creating the impression of standing on raised platforms rather than a continuous surface. The concept is conceived around fundamental elements of visual art – line, surface, abstraction and perspective – made tangible through the immersive mural environment.
